Chris Kelly, Parliamentary Spokesman, has joined David Cameron in calling for Labour to keep their promise to the British people for a referendum on the EU Constitution.
Chris said: "You did it before; you can do it again. Five years ago, thanks to public pressure in the European elections, Tony Blair made a U-turn on the EU Constitution and promised the British people a referendum. That promise was in the last Labour manifesto.
"Now the EU Constitution is back, under another name, and Gordon Brown is trying to deny the British people a say on it - even though it hands over huge powers to Brussels.
"By voting Conservative in the European elections on Thursday 4 June, you can send a message to Gordon Brown to keep his promise and let the British people have their say on the EU Treaty.''
