Chris Kelly & Chris Grayling (Shadow Home Secretary) -- CLICK TO ENLARGEChris Kelly, Parliamentary Spokesman, has welcomed news of an anti-social behaviour Dispersal Order effective from today, Friday 25 September, on the High Acres Estate in Hawbush.

The Dispersal Order has been applied for under the provisions of the Anti Social Behaviour Act 2003, to cover the following streets in the Wordsley area:

  • Madeley Road (including shops, Dingle School and grounds, Community Centre and grounds)
  • Rangeways Road
  • Ragees Road
  • Bartic Avenue (including open land by water tower)
  • Tiverton Close
  • Camberley Road
  • Sandhurst Road (including wooded area at the end)
  • Sunnymeade Road (including track known as Crab Lane)

All inter-connecting alleyways between the above roads.

Chris Kelly commented: "The predominant reason for the application was that there has been an increase of reported crime and anti social behaviour in the above areas further highlighted by members of the community at PACT meetings.''

The news of the Dispersal Order was also welcomed by Wordsley Councillors Geoff Southall, Ena Blood & Harry Nottingham along with John Jones, Conservative candidate for Wordsley, who added: "I am keen to hear from Hawbush residents as to whether or not they feel that the Dispersal Order is making a noticeable difference to levels of anti-social behaviour in the area.''

Chris and John urge Hawbush residents to contact them with their feedback -- click here to contact Chris and click here to contact John.
