Conservative Party Leader, the Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP, today visited Dudley South meeting with Chris Kelly, Prospective Conservative MP.
Mr Kelly said: "I was delighted to welcome David to Dudley South. At the Copthorne Hotel he saw for himself the regeneration achieved for the area by the Conservatives' economic regeneration zone at the Merry Hill shopping centre and the Waterfront development, something which a new Conservative Government will seek to achieve once more for Britain. David met with business leaders from across the Black Country employing many tens of thousands of people locally and directly answered their questions on a range of subjects in an extremely open and honest way. The session was very similar to a Cameron Direct whereby the Conservative Party Leader takes unscripted questions from an audience of local people (not Conservative Party members) with no advance notice of what is going to be asked. During his speech and during his answers David was extremely frank about the scale of Labour's debt crisis and the nature of some of the tough decisions which need to be taken which Labour have been putting off until after the general election. I look forward to welcoming David back to Dudley South again in the near future."
